Eastern Counties
ON THE BUSES. My late father was a conductor with Eastern Counties up to 1958, going on to be a Driver right up to his retirement. The photo on page 70 showing the Bristol "K" series bus, you can see my dad going through a door on the left side, jacket in hand, his bus driver stopping to wait for him!
Also, as coincidences, the bus in the forground of the photo is reg.no. MAH 330. I actually have that front number plate in a display cabinet at my home! Also, a friend of mine, Jim, is one of the maintenence men seen in the photo taken at Cremorne lane standing on the ladder at the right !

Come back E.C., all is forgiven. As least the drivers cared about other road users and more than some do today.
