i am searching for information about my uncle, douglas hawes. he was born in 1926, and lived in felixstowe, he joined the merchant navy sometime during the war. soon after the war ended he died in an accident on board his ship. i don't know the name of the ship or where it was when the accident happened. please can anyone help.
