PEASENHALL'S PEA FESTIVAL
Reply Quote

Join us for a PEASful day in PEASENHALL on Sunday, 19 July 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

It is kindly supported by Yes Peas!, Bird’s Eye and the East Anglian Pea Growers’ Association and Waitrose, as well as many local retailers. .

Events this year will include:

The World Pea Podding Championships, East Anglian Pea Throwing Championships, the Suffolk Pea Shooting Championships, the Great Pea Draw and Giant pass the parcel.

Lots of fun filled Pea-themed activities to suit both young and old, a licensed Bar, BBQ and lots of Pea themed refreshments.  Live local music all day.

Celebrity Chef, Rachel Green, will be demonstrating a selection of pea recipes with food tastings throughout the day, not to be missed.

The mid-day parade is open to all, Queen Pea, Miss Sweet Pea (under 13s) and Captain Birds Eye.  Bring yourselves, your Children and your pets to join in the fun and festivities. (cash prizes)

There will also be a Raffle in aid of Peasenhall’s village hall, a registered charity.    The kitchen has recently been upgraded but much-needed funding is required to upgrade the loos, fix the guttering and to provide new curtains. The 20 raffle prizes, donated mainly by very generous local suppliers, include a year’s supply of peas and £100.
