Does anyone remember the Gin Shop in Woodbridge Suffolk.
It was a pub back in 1944?

I lived in Woodbridge until 1960 my Mother ,Father Grandparents used the Gin Shop regular .We lived in New st on the corner of Oak Lane Ingram Smiths Builders yard was at the bottom of the yard backing on to Woolworths Anita Simmons Nee Thompson

Ah Yes the Gin shop! This was my dad's special stop along with the american forces from Debach
Airbase. I guess the smell was music to many drinkers senses which chased the shortages during the war.
