A&J Fundraisers Club
Reply Quote
A&J Fundraisers Club was formed in 2004 by Janet Hobart and Tony Turner to raise money for the Thundersley Little Havens Children's Hospice.  We are now joined by many friends and family members who help at our fundraising events.  We hold a large olde tyme vintage rally each August and have two live music concerts planned for the near future.  Our donations to date have been £2140 in 2004, £6000 in 2005, £7125 in 2006 and sadly only £5000 in 2007 due to dismal wet weather on the day which kept visitor numbers low.    We shall be moving to a new site in 2008 for our August rally, which is much larger and where we have far more scope for different activities.  It will be an exciting and challenging time for us next year and we are always looking for more voluntary help.  If you would like to become involved, contact Janet on 01245 473359 or email janethhobart@hotmail.com.  The Hospice has to raise £2.1 million each year and is open to children from 0 to 18 years who sadly have life limiting and life threatening illnesses.  Very little monetary help comes from the Government purse, so fundraising activities are essential to keep the Hospice open for the children who need the excellent first rate care which is provided there.

Now that we're in the digital age, photography is becoming more popular than ever.  Kodak no longer has a grip on our purse strings meaning we can click away to our hearts content for free.

So, only one year ago we formed CASTON CAMERA CLUB and already as I write we have 43 members.  Find out more about this friendliest of clubs that serves the Wayland area of south west Norfolk by visiting www.castoncameraclub.org.uk
